Creating an Online Course

In this page, we’re going to show you how quick and easy it is to create a course with lifterlms. The first thing you want to do is go to your courses and click “add course.”

And so this is a brand new course. So you can give it a name, and then what’s really cool is we’re going to jump on down to the course builder. So you can see our course has already started. We have a course outline. We have a section and the first lesson.

So, if you already know the architecture of the course you want to build, you can just start adding new lessons, and if you want to enter an excerpt you can.

And you can see how that popped up there. You can go ahead and add a new section, and add another section or add another lesson to that section. So you can see you have the bones or the architecture of your course. From the course outline panel, you can easily start entering or editing the lesson content by clicking those links which brings you to the lesson page where you can start building that out. You can cover that out on a different video.

You can also see how you can edit the titles of your courses, as well as the description. The little grey symbols light up to let you know that they exist. You can know if there is a prerequisite in place. If you want to have a prerequisite. It can let ¬†you know if there’s a quiz there or if there is drip content involved. If that setting was set. It will also let you know if there is content. It’s a quick visual check to see how you’re doing in building your course.

The next thing you want to do is to add your course description. You can see that he added some content to his course. It’s a great place to put your sales copy about what your course is all about, as well as some testimonials.

There’s also restricted access description. If somebody’s logged in like they’ve already purchased the course, you can have a totally different message. That’s what the editor area is for.

You can also add a featured image to represent your course.

Then just click publish, and then you can view the course. You can see that it has come together. You can see your sections and your course descriptions, as well as your lessons.
